Even at 45years old, mum is still my rock, my inspiration and my biggest cheerleader, this painting reminds me of my childhood, growing up under alcoholic and violent father, my mum always protected me, battled, scared, we lived in fear constantly but that didn’t stop the bond and love between me and my mum, she was my first art teacher and I am living the dream because of her constant love and guidance.
